Today 29.7.2013 Still it is shining so beautifully. I enjoyed greatly when i swam just now. In Finland we have had real luck with weather in this summer. I wanted still to be at cottage but all of my cloths are dirty and here water there is not enough for washing. Naturally I could to wash by hand and get water out of lake but...at every case I must to go to home and look at my posts. :-)
Today 27.7.2013 I rowed around two islands - small and bigger. It was still one of those hot summerdays. I was some bored after long rowing yesterday. But the sky was unclouded and the air and water of lake so clear. Behind the island there were five birds - mother, father and three children. I think they were Red-necked Grebes or Great Crested Grebes. Probably they were Great Crested Grebes because their voices were quite small. I have seen and heared that voice of Red-necked Grebes can to sound bellowing, too. The father-bird dived a small fish - maybe whitefish or wendace - and gave it to a child-bird.
Today 26.7.2013 it was really sunny and hot morning. So I decided to row with boat. Before boattrip I saw how a snake lied on rock near beach and warmed itself at sunshine. But I didn't let it to panick me. Or I began my boattrip and photographed now and then. The whole time it was shining, there were no clouds and it was calm weather. There were a variety of sea-gulls and Great Crested Grobes, I supposed so.
You see selected pics down. I was happy. I hope you are, too. Have a good day!
The lake is sooo calm,....only a little waves.
It is dazzling.
The journey progresses rowing and backing down.
A motorboat has left behind water bubbles.
During the trip you can see headlands and islands.
Always it is not possible to row directly.
At last you may row to an narrow inlet.
There you may see reeds and..
...water lilies.
Again reed and water lilies.
Many men and women like specially beautiful water lilies, but you may see also other water plants like Persicaria amphibia.
It is known by many names, including longroot smartweed, water knotweed, water smartweed, and amphibious bistort.
